Mazda is recalling over 14,000 MX-5 Miatas with automatic transmissions because of sudden and unexpected downshifts. The problem is likely a software bug in the vehicle’s clutch control logic. Or I guess in this case, illogic? The recall affects the 2016-2019 model years and will hopefully start by the end of March.
